Amazing food! Even delivered. The chips are even amazing. Queso is good. A small order was massive. I had the chicken quesadilla, which was so delicious. I added grilled onions and left off sour cream, beans & tomato. The Burriatacos weren't the best we've had but they were still really good. I think they'd be better if they were completely melted/grilled shut with cheese. Will definitely eat there again!!

Walking in, the place was colorful inside & out, they have a full service bar & a walk up ordering station. You walk up, order & take your number to the table. It was quick, easy & DELICIOUS. I wanted to try an authentic place considering I'm over the over-populated Tex Mex joints (although I still got yellow queso). Let me just start with the chips-- FRESH & I'm almost certain they are hand made, so delicious! The green salsa was probably my favorite out of the dips... however, they were all yummy with good heat to them. We got nachos (my husband always has to get nachos lol), but next time we will do one or the other considering the portion was HUGE! We tried the carne asada, shrimp, birria & beef cheek tacos which were amazing as well. We 100000% will be back more than a handful of times! Other options they had at the counter were deserts, fresh made fruit pops, a variety of sodas & and variety of drinks (we will have to try so many things next time)!

Lunch was so good went back for dinner! Carne Asada tacos and chicken tacos were the best. Added pico de gallo (heat alert due to Serrano peppers) which leveled up the heat. The red beer ( Corona + clamato juice) took away the sting tho. I didn't expect to like it, but my sister let me try hers first. When it quenched the fire, I was all in! The green taco sauce that comes with tacos is great too. Not very spicy to a pepper head like me. It was all so good that we went back for dinner and enjoyed the same meal again!! Look thru the menus, order and pay first at counter. Drinks are bottled & fountain drinks. Highly recommend you have them repeat your order back to you before you pay. Had a couple small things wrong on order for both visits. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food came out pretty quickly. They'll check on you once to ensure everything is good. You refill your own fountain drinks. Plan to go back next time we are in Shreveport.

The mole enchiladas are as good as any I have ever eaten, and the other menu choices are strong too - street tacos, guacamole, empanadas, burritos, are all very good. I prefer takeout because the food travels well and the ambience is not as enchanting as the food. Service is pleasant and prompt.

Traveled over 90 miles to eat here. Excellent! Authentic! Great value! Friendly staff! Definitely worth the drive!! The restaurant didn't look like much from the outside but the interior was clean and looked to have been updated or remodeled recently. I'll be making the drive again for sure!

Best Mexican food in Shreveport. Great prices and quality. Their green salsa and green taco sauce (not the same) are amazing!

Born in Mexico, raised in Cali, OC. I always gage good Mexican food by their beans and rice. The texture of both were good but could hace used a sprinkle more of salt. The guacamole taste fresh and the fish had a good fry on it. The shreded beef taquitos are a challange when frying. They tend to dry out. These had been marinaded in a red sauce, which helped them keep moist when fried. The sad part was hidding them on a mount of cabbage and wet cheese (Queso Fresco). It is traditionally served with a sprinkle of dry salty cheese (Queso Cotija) and a drizzel of mexican sour cream (Crema Fresca). Service? I did have to wait for about half an hour but was given proper attention when it was caught. Patience is necessary when young ones are involved. Management did well in helping the team develop customer skills. Thank you. I Will Be Back! Tienden a secarse. Gracias. ¡Estaré de vuelta!

I really do search out different places for tacos every Taco Tuesday and every review about this place had nothing but good things to say. So you already know I had to pull up. Taqueria La Michoacana is a little slice of Mexican heaven on Youree, but not too far from downtown Shreveport. There's plenty of parking out front and on the side. The space is unassuming but when you walk in, you realize it's huge. You order at the counter then take a seat with a number and wait for your order. I dined in and people watched. Servicemen from Barksdale, local construction crews, families eating lunch, people picking up, everyone eats here. This place gets packed quickly but for good reason. The food was amazing. I got the small steak nachos, the carnitas tacos, and a pineapple Jarritos. These are easily the best and most flavorful authentic tacos in Shreveport. The nachos were really good too! My food came pretty quickly and I had to get a to-go box for the nachos. They even reheated well the same night. I'm not sure if they have margaritas or drinks because I didn't look for it but I'm going back anyway.
